Greinke Appointed Honorary Consul of Georgia

ORANGE, California - (May 15, 2007) - Frank P. Greinke, Chief Executive Officer of SC Fuels, has been appointed to the position of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Georgia.  Vasil Sikharulidze, the Ambassador of Georgia, praised the appointment and is hopeful that Frank "will be purposeful to strengthening bilateral political, cultural, economic relations between Georgia and the United States." The position of Honorary Consul is the highest diplomatic honor/appointment that a foreign government can bestow on a US citizen believed to be an ideal candidate to represent the interests of that country. Consuls enjoy full diplomatic benefits and privileges governed by 1963 Vienna Convention.

Under the leadership of Frank and his late father, Frank H. Greinke, SC Fuels has the distinction of being the first company from the United States to do business in the Republic of Georgia.  In 1992, SC Fuels opened the first western-style gas station in the capital city of Tbilisi, just after Georgia became one of the first former Soviet Republics to become independent.  Frank's involvement with the country has since grown into numerous charitable and humanitarian projects throughout Georgia as well as investments in real estate, oil and retail sectors. The Greinke family also regularly hosts and trains government leaders, businessmen, employees and students in California and actively promotes Georgia and its rich culture and traditions through its vast network of friends and associates throughout the United States and internationally.

Frank's attributed his appointment to the extensive involvement in Georgia by his parents. Frank succeeds his father, Frank H. Greinke, who was the first Honorary Counsel until his passing in 2005. Frank H. Greinke was the founder of Greko Oil, the first U.S. business in Georgia after the Republic broke away from the Soviet Union. He remained active in the promotion of free enterprise and philanthropy until his death.

An office of Honorary Consul of Georgia will be maintained in the City of Orange.

Frank also serves on the board of directors of the Society of Independent Gasoline Marketers, the advisory board of Solis Capital Partners, and is a member Cal State Fullerton's College of Business and Economics Dean's Advisory Board.
