I am pleased to welcome you to the New Majority Los Angeles.  Thank you for your interest in our dynamic and dedicated group - one that is working to improve the overall landscape of Republican politics in Los Angeles, California and beyond.

As the membership of the New Majority Los Angeles continues to see rapid growth, we are poised to lead the way with financial support for Republican candidates.  We have designed strong outreach efforts to broaden the base and appeal of the Republican Party, and we support initiatives and public policy ideas that place California's future first.

Your membership and financial support add to the New Majority's strength and influence in the Republican Party at precisely the time it is needed most.  With our members' long history of accomplishments in business, philanthropy and education, we have the opportunity to have an important voice when discussing positive political change for California.  Your participation in these efforts will help ensure that we achieve our mission of fiscal responsibility and social inclusion within the Republican Party and allow us to bring a common sense approach back to government where it is so desperately needed. 

In 2006, the New Majority's strong financial support of both Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner allowed both candidates to be victorious on Election Day.  Our organization also contributed directly or through independent expenditures to several targeted Congressional and State Legislative candidates in California.  In Los Angeles County, New Majority and its members showed strong support for our local Republican delegation, to insure we keep our seats in Republican control.    

Our efforts and involvement in the LAUSD School Board elections this year, will finally bring about much needed reforms at the Los Angeles Unified School District, where student drop out rates are estimated to be nearly 50%.  We will also continue to focus on other public policy areas that put California's interests first, such as Redistricting Reform.  By working to create more balanced districts, we will increase the level of accountability and productivity in government, and put an end to the practice of elected officials choosing their voters. 

In Los Angeles County, our efforts will continue to focus on identifying and training the next generation of Republican candidates for all levels of elective office.  Our ability to develop a strong candidate pool for 2008, 2010 and beyond, will determine our level of success in future elections.  This effort, combined with an aggressive voter registration program, will allow the return of competitive races in Los Angeles County, and as a result will impact state and national politics. 

California is our home and deserves the best leadership and representation possible.  We look forward to working with each and every one of you this year and beyond, to help bring about the changes needed to keep California great!
